Test your internet connection

Measure data transfers between this browser and the RSINC web server. Start when you are ready; no test traffic is sent automatically.

Uses up to 80 MiB of test payload, plus network overhead. This counts toward mobile or satellite data allowances. A test normally takes about 10–30 seconds; slow transfers can take longer.

What the results mean

Download measures received data; upload measures sent data. HTTP latency measures a small request and response, including web-server processing. Latency variation is the average difference between consecutive latency samples. This is not an ICMP ping or a packet-loss test.

Get a useful comparison

Pause large downloads and streaming. Compare Wi-Fi with a wired connection to your router, and repeat at different times. Keep your firewall and security software enabled. Browser performance, other traffic, VPNs and the RSINC server can all affect results.

This is a short, single-connection diagnostic, not a certified line-speed test. Fast connections may exceed what a shared hosting server or this bounded test can measure. Low results alone do not show that your internet provider is at fault.

Privacy

The test transfers generated bytes, not files from your device. Results stay on this page and are not saved to the RSINC database. A temporary first-party session limits test traffic. The hosting server receives your IP address and may record requests in its normal access logs.
