Jupiter and Io                 Stereo Pair

Hubble Space Telescope, WFPC2

09/08/05 Image Notes:
While on the subject of stereo images, here is one of my earlier attempts. Not awe inspiring by any means, but fun. Io is definitely floating far above the surface of the planet, and I've added some subtle height and depth to some of the cloud bands. Once again, artistic, not realistic. I am, however, working on some other planetary images that will show height and depth based on altimetry data, so will be somewhat realistic. Stay tuned! Meanwhile, back to tri-color imaging.
