Astronomy and Space Related Movies List

Okay, so even though I study (and teach) the science of astronomy, I enjoy the science fiction aspect as well! The following list is my personal collection of Sci-Fi flicks. Most are astronomy and space related, although some in the Earth Disaster category deal with geology and meteorology. This list is by no means exhaustive; there are lots of Sci-Fi movies I don't yet have in my collection, but are on my wish list.

Those of you in my class are welcome to borrow any of my movies on one condition: you must come back with at least two or three questions about the material so we can have a discussion about science fact versus science fiction. All the movies in my collection are DVDs unless otherwise noted.
